FAQ

I can't tighten the lockring much by hand. Is something wrong?

Firstly, ensure the lockring is inserted correctly and not cross-threaded. If the lockring is inserted properly, then yes, the lockring may feel harder to turn compared to the stock part. This is normal. Please use the cassette tool to tighten to 25Nm. After this, the lockring will be easier to tighten/loosen by hand should you remove it in the future.
