Via Bluetooth: Cadence, Power, L/R Balance (PRO RS2 only).
Can I share the PRO RS spindle with other Assioma PRO models?
Yes. All Assioma PRO models (PRO RS, PRO RL, PRO MX) share the same spindle, making pedal body swaps straightforward. No special tools are needed. All critical components — strain gauges, electronics, and rechargeable battery — are housed inside the spindle.
What is the accuracy of the Favero Assioma PRO RS?
The Assioma PRO RS measures power with ±1% declared accuracy using Favero’s IAV Power System (Instant Angular Velocity-based Power Calculation) with an integrated gyroscope. This accuracy is maintained across all pedaling styles.

The PRO RS uses a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery providing at least 160 hours of use per charge. A low battery warning appears at 8 hours remaining. Fast charging: 15 minutes of charging provides an additional 15 hours of use. It charges via any USB-C power bank or smartphone charger.
How do I calibrate the Favero Assioma PRO RS?
Calibrate via the Favero Assioma app or your bike computer. Place the bike upright (not tilted) with crank arms vertical and pedals free from any load before proceeding. Manual calibration is required at first installation and every new installation. Automatic calibration handles day-to-day use — store the bike upright with no load on the pedals.
Is the Favero Assioma PRO RS app required for first activation?
Yes. Pairing the PRO RS with the Favero Assioma app (free on iOS and Android) is required to enable data transmission and starts the warranty period. Firmware updates are also delivered via the app.
What devices and apps is the Favero Assioma PRO RS compatible with?
The PRO RS features ANT+ (power profile) and Bluetooth (CPP profile) connectivity, compatible with most bike computers and training apps including Garmin Edge series, Zwift, Strava, TrainerRoad, Bkool, Rouvy, and many more. Assioma PRO can connect to up to 3 Bluetooth devices simultaneously.
Is the Favero Assioma PRO RS waterproof?
Yes. The Assioma PRO RS is IP67 rated — protected against dust and immersion in water up to 1 metre for up to 30 minutes. It can be washed with water but avoid high-pressure jets which may compromise mechanical parts. Do not use alcohol, industrial degreasers, oil, or petroleum derivatives.
Can I use pedal extenders with the Favero Assioma PRO RS?
No. The PRO RS must not be used with pedal extenders, crank shorteners, or accessories that alter the crank arm setup. Crank arm protectors are an exception. The plastic end of the spindle must extend at least 1mm beyond the crank arm thread; crank arms thicker than 15mm in the threaded area are unsuitable.
What is Travel Mode on the Favero Assioma PRO RS?
Travel Mode disables the pedals for air travel. Activate it via the Favero Assioma app settings. To exit Travel Mode, connect the pedals to their original charging cables and plug into a power outlet. Bring the magnetic charger when travelling — pedals cannot exit Travel Mode without it.
