Magene C606 Pro FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Magene C606 Pro and C606 V2?
The C606 Pro has a transflective screen (sunlight-readable, battery-efficient) and 25h standard GPS battery, plus full offline navigation and rerouting without a phone. The C606 V2 uses a TFT screen with a 15-25h battery range. Choose the Pro for long-distance riding, bright sunlight, or remote routes. Choose the V2 if you prioritise camera integration or indoor use.
What does transflective screen mean on the Magene C606 Pro?
A transflective screen reflects ambient light to enhance visibility in sunlight rather than relying solely on backlight. The display stays clear and readable outdoors without maximum brightness, which also reduces battery drain. In Singapore's bright tropical sunlight, this is a meaningful practical advantage over standard TFT screens.
Does the Magene C606 Pro work fully offline without a phone?
Yes. The C606 Pro supports full offline navigation including rerouting and Back to Start — all processed on-device without a phone or data connection. Maps are stored on-device. Wi-Fi is only needed for Strava Segments sync and firmware updates.
How does the Magene C606 Pro compare to the Garmin Edge 850?
The C606 Pro has a larger 2.8 inch transflective screen vs the Edge 850's 2.6 inch TFT, matches or exceeds the Edge 850's battery life at 25h, adds native DJI and Insta360 camera integration (Edge 850 has none), and is validated by the XDS Astana WorldTour team for 2026. Both are IPX7 waterproof with multi-system GNSS and ClimbPro.
Does the Magene C606 Pro support DJI and Insta360 cameras?
Yes. The C606 Pro natively integrates with DJI Action 4, DJI Action 5 Pro, DJI OSMO 360, Insta360 X4 Air, and Insta360 X5. Control recording, monitor battery and storage, and auto-embed ride data overlays — all from the bike computer or a Shimano Di2 shifter button.
What is Cycling Dynamics on the Magene C606 Pro?
Cycling Dynamics unlocks Power Phase (peak torque angles per leg), Seated vs. Standing Time (auto-detected), and Platform Center Offset (cleat optimisation) when paired with a compatible power meter. Compatible power meters: Magene P715, Garmin Rally RS200/210, Favero Assioma series.
Is the Magene C606 Pro compatible with Zwift and TrainerRoad?
Yes. The C606 Pro connects to smart trainers via ANT+ FE-C and Bluetooth FTMS, making it compatible with Zwift, TrainerRoad, Wahoo SYSTM, and other major platforms. Structured workouts can be created in OnelapFit or imported from TrainingPeaks.
Does the Magene C606 Pro support Garmin or Polar heart rate monitors?
Yes. The C606 Pro is compatible with any ANT+ or Bluetooth heart rate monitor, including Garmin HRM-Pro, Polar H10, and Magene's own H613 and H803.
