How do I switch the Magene S314 between Speed Mode and Cadence Mode?

There are two methods:

Method 1: Reinstalling the Battery (Manual)

  1. Twist the battery compartment cover counter-clockwise (using a coin) to open it and remove the CR2032 battery.
  2. Wait 5–10 seconds to let the sensor fully reset.
  3. Reinsert the battery with the positive (+) side facing up, replace the cover, and lock it into place.
  4. Check the LED indicator light on the front of the sensor: Red Light = Cadence Mode, Green Light = Speed Mode.
  5. Repeat the process if the sensor is not in the mode you need.

Method 2: Using the Magene Utility App

  1. Download and open the Magene Utility App on your smartphone.
  2. Ensure Bluetooth is on and the app has permission to connect.
  3. Spin the sensor (rotate the crank or wheel) to wake it up.
  4. In the app, scan for and connect to the sensor.
  5. Select the sensor and navigate to Settings to change the working mode from Speed to Cadence or vice versa.

How does the Magene S314 attach to the bike?

In Cadence Mode, attach the S314 to the crank arm using the included rubber bands or adhesive mount. In Speed Mode, attach it to the wheel hub. No tools or external magnets are required — the sensor uses an internal accelerometer to detect rotation.
